2023: ‘Why Peter Obi Attended RCCG Convention For The First Time’, Dunamis Pastor Reveals.
By Naomisophyblog
One of the Regional pastors of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Ezekiel Pius has revealed why the presidential candidate of the Labour Party and former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, attended the 70th annual convention of the RCCG at the Redemption City, tagged ‘Perfect Jubilee’.
It is understood that Ezekiel’s revelation for Peter Obi’s visit to Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, comes after Obi received backlash for attending the service, with many accusing him of visiting churches as a form of campaign.
Obi, who had also received a loud ovation at the auditorium of DIGC headquarters in Abuja few weeks back, got mixed reactions, especially on social media over his recent appearance at the RCCG.
Reacting to the visit in a post on Facebook, Ezekiel Pius stated that Peter Obi visited the 70th annual convention of the RCCG because he is a Christian and have his liberty to serve his God anywhere he wants.
Pius further maintained that Nigerians, irrespective of political affiliations, should stop reading negative meanings to any politician that attends a religious gathering.
He wrote: “Tinubu went to mosque, you said he went to worship his God. But Peter Obi went to church you say he went to campaign. Did you see them give him microphone there and he said vote for me or did you hear anybody there say vote for Peter Obi?
