A unexplained disappearance occurred while 26-year-old banker Osemudiamen Idemudia was making his way home from work.
In a statement, Osemudiamen’s father, Julius Idemudia, stated that his son was last seen on Friday, May 9.
Osemudiamen Idemudia, 26, is a banker from Lagos, and his family is upset over his mysterious disappearance on Friday, May 9, while he was coming home from work.
Julius Idemudia, Osemudiamen’s father, told Punch Metro that his son, who worked in a bank’s Point-of-Sale (POS) division, had left his office in Ikota to join a senior staff member at the bank’s CMS headquarters on Lagos Island.
Julius says Osemudiamen traveled with a coworker, but when they got to CMS, they were told the meeting had been rescheduled for Monday. Nobody saw or heard from Osemudiamen again after that. The two men then parted ways.

When they finally arrived at CMS, they split off. As was customary, Osemudiamen was supposed to take a bus to Iyana Ipaja and then continue on to Igando. But we were concerned when it grew late and we hadn’t heard from him. We set off the alert after one day without communication. Since then, he has not contacted us. We are filled with concern. He is not like this at all, and we are quite worried about his safety and welfare.
The family is even more concerned for his safety as Julius clarified that his son’s disappearance is wholly out of character.
“We are working to meet with the bank’s chief security officer to further investigate the disappearance of a missing person, whose case we reported to the Igando Police Station.”
As his family continues to ask the public for any helpful information that could aid in Osemudiamen’s recovery, search and rescue efforts are still underway.
