Edo State politician Natasha Osawaru and veteran artist Innocent Idibia, often known as 2Face or 2Baba, have welcomed their first child, a boy.
Rumors that Osawaru had gone into labor were fueled by reports that she was seen in a hospital early on Friday, which increased speculation about the birth.
A few hours later, the politician confirmed that the couple had been “blessed with a baby boy” on her official Facebook page, putting a stop to the rumors.
Fans, sympathizers, and well-wishers reportedly flooded the post with congratulations right after.
The couple’s closely watched relationship enters a new phase with the birth of the child. Following the singer’s split with Annie Idibia in January, 2Baba and Osawaru formalized their union earlier in the year.
From the Valentine’s Day proposal to the family visits and customary ceremonies that followed in the months that followed, their romance soon attracted public notice.
Only close relatives were present during the couple’s intimate, traditional wedding in Abuja in July. Despite being low-key, the ceremony set the stage for their new life together and has continued to garner attention from the general public.
It was known that the musician and Annie Idibia, his ex-partner, had kids.
