In reaction to the growing number of terrorist and bandit attacks throughout the nation, especially in the Northern area, former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has called for a prompt response.
According to Fani-Kayode, the Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency in Zamfara State has seen 223 bandit kidnappings and 35 fatalities.
The former minister reportedly stated that Aminu Sani Jaji, the representative for the constituency in the House of Representatives, gave him the amount last Thursday.
Fani-Kayode, the chairman of the House Committee on Ecological Funds, claims that Jaji revealed that bandits and terrorists attacked a number of villages and communities inside his district.
Madira had five, Dayau had five, Kungurki had five, Unguwa Sarkin Musulmi had three, Yanruma had one, Gabaken Mesa had one, Gwamanan had three, Yamutsawa had two, and Banga had ten, for a total of thirty-five deaths, he said.

In addition, he named the villages and abducted victims, which came to 225: Banga: 60; Gabake: 27; Madira: 25; Yanruma: 7; Gobirawa: 15; Gabaken Mesa: 23; Gwamanan: 2; Modomawa: 3; Yamutsawa: 30; Kungurki: 3; Kaiwa lamba: 38.
If this many individuals are being murdered and kidnapped in a single Federal constituency in a few days, can you image how many others in the state are going through the same thing? It’s hard to believe. “I feel terrible for the people of Zamfara,” Fan-Kayode remarked.
He demanded that the insurgents be completely defeated while applauding the security authorities’ efforts to address regional instability.
The former minister also demanded assistance for the security agencies’ work.
Since they are unable to accomplish anything on their own, we must assist them in every way we can. “This needs to be a team effort,” he said.
