At least 45 people have been confirmed dead after two migrant boats overturned off the coast of Djibouti on Tuesday.
The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said in a post on X platform on Tuesday that the boats left Yemen with 310 people on board.
The United Nations agency said least 32 people have been rescued from the water.
It, however, refused to give further details on the incident.
Migrants from Ethiopia and Somalia repeatedly make the dangerous journey across the coast of Djibouti to Yemen in the hope of a better life.
They usually wanted to make their way to Saudi Arabia or other Gulf states in search of work.
