Reuben Abati, a renowned broadcaster and former presidential assistant, has praised his wife, Kikelomo Abati, calling her the source of inspiration, joy, and true happiness.
As he celebrated his wife’s 46th birthday, Abati wrote a touching message on Instagram expressing his love for her, whom he referred to as his “jewel” and “sunrise.”
He wrote: “To my Jewel, happy birthday. You are one of the few women who push me to be more and challenge me intellectually—not because of your natural charm, but rather because of your strength of purpose, discipline, and ambition. You never hesitate to get your hands dirty. Outstanding!
Abati gave some advice from his godfather, Prince Adelusi, as he thought back on their marriage:
“The happier man loves the woman he marries, but the happier man marries the girl he loves.”
He went on to say that sincere love and respect for one another are the sources of true happiness rather than material possessions.
“True happiness comes from within; it doesn’t exist on a shelf. And really, I’ve discovered that true happiness with you,” Abati remarked.
