Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has counseled President Bola Ahmed Tinubu against pleading with US President Donald Trump on the latest military threats against Nigeria because of alleged Christian killings.
In a statement issued by his media assistant, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele advised Tinubu to address insecurity as soon as possible, as it would impact his chances in 2027, rather than putting himself in a situation where he would be at the mercy of the US President.
The prophet disclosed that, despite his warnings, Tinubu’s government will be impacted by insecurity years ago.
He urged the president to take immediate action to resolve the matter, failing which he will face dire consequences.
“Don’t go to go and beg Trump; he wants to make money,” stated Primate Ayodele. Instead of being at his mercy, Tinubu ought to turn to God and work on his insecurity.
“I have stated that his government will suffer greatly from insecurity; he just needs to wake up and make sure he takes security seriously.”
According to the prophet, Nigeria’s problem goes beyond genocide and is merely a pretext used by Trump in negotiations over Nigeria’s resources.
He advised Tinubu to have patience since he would be presented with a variety of possibilities that he should carefully consider in order to prevent making the incorrect choice.
“Genocide is not the only issue facing Nigeria. Trump has never been a friend of Tinubu, and the US wants to bargain with him over Nigeria’s resources.
He stated, “This issue needs to be handled patiently because they will give Tinubu different options, but he must not do the wrong thing.”
He noted that Trump’s worry is unfounded and clarified that Nigeria can resolve its issues if the government is prepared.
“A foreigner cannot solve Nigeria’s problems; only Nigeria can do so.” Trump is merely a businessman; he is not God. He is a despot.
“The US should cooperate with the Nigerian government if they truly have a mission; the threat was needless.”
