Don Jazzy, a Nigerian music executive and producer, has addressed a police matter he encountered in the UK early in his career.

Don Jazzy avoided the law in the UK after being engaged in an accident that garnered police attention, as his former associate Bankulli had disclosed at a recent event.

According to Bankulli, after the police came at the scene of the collision, Don Jazzy took off the license plate and ran away.

“I declined to include a specific Don Jazzy story in the Afrobeats documentary. Don Jazzy’s automobile was smashed in an accident because he was struggling to make ends meet in London. Don Jazzy left the vehicle behind. After attending a performance, he dozed off while driving and had an accident.

I’ve been putting in a lot of effort to have Nnamdi Kanu—Orji Kalu—released.
“He got out of the car, took off the license plate, and fled.” Why? Because carrying the automobile away would cost more than fixing it. However, Jazzy currently has fleets of automobiles, according to Bankulli.

In response to Bankulli’s disclosure, an X user chastised him and expressed concern that if Don Jazzy were to travel to the UK after his former associate had made the incident public, the case may be revived.

“I sincerely hope Don Jazzy isn’t organizing a trip to London in light of Bankulli’s careless remarks. A 20-year-old case can be reopened, the X user wrote.

Peter Obi: “Insecurity: Why Nigeria is continuously bleeding”
Don Jazzy responded by telling his supporters not to fear and emphasizing that he did not avoid the police as Bankulli had alleged.

He clarified that he waited for the police, who used a breathalyzer to check his level of intoxication. The police seized his automobile even after he proved he wasn’t.

According to Don Jazzy, he left the vehicle with the police since the cost of retrieving it would have exceeded its worth.

“Lol, don’t worry. He can’t recall the specific story because it has been so long. In fact, I bided my time until the police arrived. To find out if I was intoxicated, they came and handed me a breathalyzer. The car was seized, but I wasn’t. He wrote, “I left it with them because the fine to get the car back was more than the cheap car.”
