Deacon Julius Olufemi Oke, a former Senior Deputy Registrar and Head of the WAEC International Office in Lagos, was laid to rest in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

Oke reportedly passed away on November 20 of this year.

Last year, Oke left WAEC to retire.

In Ibadan, the deceased’s remains were dedicated to Mother Earth on Thursday.

In front of friends, family, and coworkers, he was laid to rest amid sobs.

The dead, according to Pastor Kehinde Ajibola, the leading pastor of Christ Life Church International, Covenant Cathedral, Ibadan, was a person who assisted many.

During his lecture titled “The next minute after death,” Ajibola reassured the deceased’s close friends and relatives that they shouldn’t be afraid.

Because of his good deeds on earth and his own contact with the Lord as a born-again Christian, he claimed, the deceased had gone to rest with God.

According to Ajibola, who based his sermon on Second Corinthians 5–10, the dead was a guy who, throughout his lifetime, had a close relationship with both his family and the church.

However, he revealed that his absence will be felt because he left a void that might not be immediately filled at home or at the church.

“We are always confident that he who believes in Christ shall never die, and that faith is the oxygen of God’s life,” he stated. “The word of God has given us sufficient information that whoever dies in Christ is alive.”

In her memorial, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Oke, the deceased’s wife, characterized her husband as a devoted and kind father to his kids and the entire family.

“My baby boy, I am happy you made a huge impact on your generation and your legacy is eternal,” she remarked. You and your Maker are undoubtedly in the limelight.

“Femi, your love was my refuge; it was a unique gift with the highest value. I will always be grateful to God for granting me the honor of being your wife, even if I am at a loss for words regarding the profound influence you had on me as a priceless husband.
