According to Uchechi, the wife of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), her husband is Africa’s greatest freedom fighter rather than a terrorist.
Kanu bemoaned in a post on 𝕏 that her husband is battling forces more sinister than those Nelson Mandela encountered in South Africa.
She emphasized that the agitator had the support of Igbo youth and students.
“The Igbo youths and students are in solidarity with Mazi #NnamdiKanu. #NnamdiKanu is not a terrorist,” she said.
“He is the world’s greatest African freedom fighter and the leader of millions of Biafrans who are dispersed throughout the globe and who support #IPOB.”
Although the IPOB commander is not flawless, Uchechi pointed out that no person is.
Many of his people are prepared to give their lives to defend him because they adore him and he loves them.
And you know what, despite apartheid’s harshness, Nelson Mandela battled with people who were receptive to reason. But Mazi #NnamdiKanu battles against far darker forces in the arena,” she continued.
Judge James Omotosho of the Abuja Federal High Court found Kanu guilty and sentenced him to life in prison at Sokoto Custodial Center.
Due to his agitation for the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra, he was condemned on terrorism-related charges.
