Alex Otti, the governor of Abia State, has stated that his administration is committed to doing more for the state’s citizens, emphasizing that this is the only way to address criticism from the opposition.
Speaking on Saturday at a reception for Attorney-General of Abia State Ikechukwu Uwanna, SAN, in Isuikwuato, Otti stated that anyone who attribute the roads he built to other administrations should have their identities verified to see whether they are actually Igbo.
True Igbos are not known for being dishonest, according to the governor, who voiced concern that some Abia opposition members were downplaying the accomplishments of his government since he is not belong to their party.
“You claim a road isn’t finished even if you can’t see it. You can’t see a road that someone else created and give credit to them. You are not an Igbo man if you act in such way.
However, we don’t even want to answer. More labor is our response. In a speech during the event, Otti stated, “One thing you can be certain of is that this is your government.”
He claimed that opposition members are spreading false information about his administration to the Abia populace, particularly about ongoing and finished projects.
He commended former State Minister for Mines and Steel Development Uche Ogah, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for endorsing the accomplishments of his administration in the state.
He went on to say that Ikechukwu Uwanna, the Attorney General of Abia State, was a key member of his administration.
Former State Minister for Mines and Steel Development Ogah stated earlier in his statement at the ceremony that he would back Governor Alex Otti’s reelection regardless of his (Ogah) affiliation with the APC.
