Nigerian singer, Emoseh Khamofu better known as Bloody Civilian has said that being an artiste has changed her world view and transformed her perceptions on some of the core values of the environment and family she grew up with.
In a recent episode of the Not Just On podcast, the Taraba-born star said some of the traditional values that her family expects from her are no more interesting to her.
Bloody Civilian says she is not planning to get married, against the wishes of her family.
The 26-year-old said her family is pressurising her for marriage without realising that it’s not something she is looking forward to.
She said, “What my family still doesn’t understand about being an artiste is that some of the conventional things they expect of a woman from the North are just not things I am excited to do.
“Like marriage – that’s something I’m not even thinking about. But that question always comes up.
