The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on the commissioning of major judicial infrastructure projects in Abuja.

The ruling party said the projects were a demonstration of the administration’s resolve to strengthen democratic institutions, promote the rule of law and improve the welfare of judicial officers.

The APC in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Thursday congratulated the President and the FCT minister on the successful completion and commissioning of the new Court of Appeal Complex and residential accommodation for judicial officers.

The party listed the projects to include a newly completed Court of Appeal Complex equipped with modern facilities and a 20- unit residential quarters for Justices of the Court of Appeal and judges of the Federal High Court.

The APC also said another 20-unit residential quarters for judges of the Federal Capital Territory judiciary is to be commissioned soon.

The party also commended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of residential accommodation for judges of the National Industrial Court and members of the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

The project is anticipated to be completed in January 2027.

The projects, the APC said, demonstrate President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s democratic institutions and improving the administration of justice.

“The delivery of these critical and massive judicial infrastructure projects is a testament to President Tinubu’s iron-clad commitment to strengthening democratic institutions, promoting the rule of law, upholding the independence of the judiciary, and guaranteeing the dignity and welfare of judicial officers,” the statement said.

The party said the move was a strategic investment in the justice sector and democratic governance.

The APC said that improved court facilities and quality accommodation would enhance judicial efficiency and boost the confidence of the public in the justice system.

The ruling party also lauded Wike on his commitment and leadership in the completion of the projects on time, which it described as a good job.

“We commend the Hon. Minister Wike for his unwavering dedication, leadership, efficient and prompt implementation of these projects towards the realization of President Tinubu’s greater vision of institutional reform, infrastructure development and national progress,” the release further said.

The APC stated that the projects were part of the achievements recorded by the Tinubu administration as it clocks its third anniversary in office.

The expansion of judicial infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory, it said, was a testament to the administration’s commitment to effective justice delivery, respect for the rule of law and promotion of a vibrant democratic culture.

The party said strengthening the judiciary is still important to the development, stability and long term prosperity of Nigeria.
