He reportedly made the comments on his Instagram page, where he described the industry as one filled with hypocrisy, lies, denial and pretence.

Religion is deeply embedded in the system as well, Eezee Tee said, in a way that often obscures what is really happening behind the scenes.

Today’s gospel music is more about performance and emotion than it is spiritually directed, he said.

According to the businessman, many of those who openly criticize the secular music scene are well aware of these issues in the gospel space.

“Having been in the gospel and secular music worlds, I’ve been exposed to things that many people are not aware of,” said Eezee Tee.

He also claimed that people who speak out against wrongdoing are often blackballed or targeted in the industry.

“The Gospel Music Industry is darker than you think,” he said. It is dressed in hypocrisy lies denials pretence deep religion so people don’t often see through it. It is more performance than spirit-led. More driven by emotions than spirituality.

The gospel folks who criticize the secular industry know this for a fact. Most of them. I have been here for a while and have had the privilege of being involved in both industries and trust me you have no idea of the evil that goes on in the Gospel Industry. You become a target and hated when you stand against evil. \”May Jesus help us.\”
