BBNaija Season 11 Premiere: Meet the New Housemates

The organizers of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality television show have officially unveiled the first batch of housemates who will slug it out for the 11th edition of the popular reality series, with a grand prize of ₦160 million up for grabs.

The new season features a diverse mix of contestants with various professional backgrounds, including streamers, entrepreneurs, models, pharmacists, chefs and tech professionals. Each housemate comes into the competition with different ambitions, personalities and strategies, laying the groundwork for what is sure to be another entertaining and highly competitive season.

The first batch of housemates has already begun generating excitement among fans eager to see how the competition unfolds, from contestants determined to focus solely on winning to those open to finding romance and building alliances.

Leading the pack is Tram, a 24-year-old streamer from Lagos State, who has made it known that his sole objective is to win the ₦160 million grand prize. Unlike many previous contestants who have used romantic relationships as part of their strategy, Tram insists he has no interest in love or distractions during his stay in Biggie’s house. His biggest priority, he says, is to stay focused on the competition.

Another contestant, Temi Nkem, is walking into the house with confidence and a well thought out strategy. She says that at only 21, she wants to play the game her way and not be led by other housemates. According to the BBNaija organisers, she’s a strong personality with a game plan to stick to her own rules in the house.

Visual storyteller and model Martins, 30, from Kogi State, is moving from catwalks to reality television. He says he’s a people reader, and jokes that his hidden talent is “mind reading.” “I can’t wait to enjoy every moment in the house and be myself,” Martins says. They also say he’s an open book, wears his heart on his sleeve and is ready to connect with fellow contestants on a meaningful level.

Delta State is represented by Mercedes, a 26-year-old massage therapist and concierge business owner. She goes into the competition with confidence and feels that participating in BBNaija is another chance to build her achievements, not to seek success from scratch. The show’s organisers said Mercedes is not entering the house because she is desperate for wealth, but because she sees the platform as another addition to her growing success.

Joining the house is Keivo, a 27-year-old web developer from Benue State. He defines himself as a versatile person confident in his skills. He admits he is open to finding love during the show but marriage is not on his mind right now. Outside of work, Keivo is a gamer, painter and drawer, hobbies that he says show his creative side.

Chimsom Chuka, a 27 year old pharmacist from Anambra State, says he is ready to enjoy every experience the BBNaija house offers. He is portrayed by the organisers as a patient, humorous man who remains calm under pressure. He hopes viewers will get to meet his true self as he tackles the trials, tasks and relationships of life in Biggie’s house.

The first batch is completed by Abi, a chef and model from Osun State, who is confident that her humour and bubbly personality will make her a standout contestant this season. BBNaija organisers describe her as a “certified scene-stealer” and she has no plans to play wallflower. Instead they say Abi brings energy, entertainment and enough charisma to keep her fellow housemates and viewers thoroughly entertained.

The first group of contestants has been unveiled, and the anticipation is building for the full launch of BBNaija Season 11 with fans eagerly awaiting the unveiling of more housemates and the start of the battle for the coveted ₦160 million prize.
