CP Wale Abass psc, Presents Cheques of N33,275,840 to families of deceased officers.

On 9th June 2023, the Commissioner of Police Delta State Command, CP Wale Abass psc, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Alkali Baba Usman, PSC+, FDC, NPM, NEAPS, CFR presented cheques of Thirty-Three Million, Two Hundred and Seventy-Five Thousand, Eight Hundred And Forty Naira (#33,275,840) to families of deceased officers who died in the line of duty.
The cheques issued on behalf of the IGP are parts of the Group Life Assurance, Group Personal Accident, and IGP Family Welfare Insurance Schemes. The CP while presenting the cheques appreciated the gesture by the IGP as the cheques will in no small way act as a boost to the families and also a way of letting them know that though their loved ones are no more, the force did not forget their sacrifices.
One of the beneficiaries in her remark on behalf of other beneficiaries appreciated the Inspector General of Police for the gesture shown to them and assured that the money will be spent judiciously.
