Governors of the 36 states on Wednesday met in Abuja over the recent financial autonomy granted to the local councils by the Supreme Court.
They also discussed the N70,000 new national minimum wage.
Other issues discussed at the meeting were the United Nations General Assembly; state Contribution and Shareholder Rights in Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC).
The governors also received presentations from the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Ali Pate and the World Bank Country Office.

The meeting being presided over by the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State was attended by governors Alex Otti (Abia), Usman Ododo (Kogi), Charles Soludo (Anambra), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Mai Mala Buni (Yobe) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo).
Others Hope Uzodinma (Imo), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Bassey Otu (Cross River), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Douye Diri (Bayelsa), Abba Kabir-Yusuf (Kano), Ahmed Aliyu (Sokoto), Nasiru Idris (Kebbi), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), and Umo Eno )Akwa-Ibom).
Also at the meeting were the deputy governors of Borno and Enugu States.
The Supreme Court granted total autonomy to the 774 local government areas in the country on July 11.
