The long-running dispute between Nigerian director Kunle Afolayan and his brother Aremu Afolayan has finally come to an end.
According to reports, there had been animosity between the two sons of the late, renowned theater and cinema star Ade Love throughout the years.
The world became aware of the two’s rivalry in 2018 after Aremu asserted that their father, despite his popularity, lived in poverty.
In response to Aremu’s comments in a widely shared interview, Kunle referred to Aremu as foolish.
But on Friday, November 22, 2024, at their mother’s wake-keep ceremony in Oyo State, the siblings finally put a stop to their disagreement.
Speaking at the event, Kunle emphasized that he was ten years older than Aremu and stated that he was his father rather than his brother.
Aremu also expressed regret to Kunle, saying, “My mother forcing us to speak today is my greatest joy.” I was the family’s black sheep, so Mom continued to pray. My brother Kunle has no justifications for saying that we look same, thus I disagree with him.
I apologize for exposing brother Kunle to the criticism on Instagram. I do it because I adore you.
