NIGERIAN singer, Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, widely known as Adekunle Gold, recently voiced his frustration about life in Nigeria through a heartfelt post on his official X page.
The ‘Rodo’ hitmaker shared his candid thoughts, stating that living and striving for success in Nigeria often feels like an uphill battle. According to him, there’s an inherent quality about the country that seems to drain one’s potential and excellence, making it difficult to stand out.
“There’s just something about this place that drains your excellence,” he wrote. “Striving for it here feels futile, as the environment pulls you down until you become just like everyone else.”
Despite his frustrations, Adekunle Gold, who hails from a royal lineage in Lagos State, encouraged his fans to remain resilient. He urged them to fiercely protect their passion, stay determined, and refuse to settle for mediocrity.
“Whatever you do, guard your passion fiercely, be firm, and never settle for less,” he advised, offering hope and motivation to those navigating similar challenges.
