In a widely shared video, Wahab and Raheem, the sons of wealthy businessman Chief Razaq Okoya, are seen trashing naira. The Nigeria Police Force has apprehended the unnamed officer.
On Friday, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, revealed this on his X Twitter.
He emphasized that disciplinary action is being taken to address the wrongdoing and said that the police officer’s actions in the video are unethical and against the force’s standards.
“The policeman who was caught on camera mistreating the naira in the recently circulated video that the sons of Lagos businessman Chief Okoya shared has been identified and detained for disciplinary action,” Adejobi tweeted.

Remember how last week’s footage of the two Okoya boys mistreating naira sparked a lot of criticism? Many people thought that due of their father’s position in the nation, nothing would happen to them.
In order to promote Raheem Okoya’s new song, “Credit Alert,” Wahab and Okoya are seen in the video wearing white agbada attire and showing off piles of crisp N1000 notes.
As the video went on, it showed the billionaire’s sons dancing and throwing the N1000 notes into the air as the mobile police officer held bundles of the currency.
