House of Representatives member Obi Aguocha has reiterated his support for the policies of Abia State Governor Alex Otti and Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
Aguocha stated in an interview with the New Telegraph that he has complete faith in the Labour Party and has no plans to leave it.
However, he pointed out that Peter Obi is free to discuss with anyone his intention to join the Labour Party in overthrowing the administration led by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
Aguocha asserted that Peter Obi had the right to speak to as many people as he wishes in order to persuade them to join the Labour Party, overthrow the current administration, and start over in Nigeria.
The congressman asserted that a coalition must be established in order to defeat the incumbent party in the upcoming general election, despite the fact that APC members are not satisfied.
“I’m ideologically aligned and connected to Peter Obi, Alex Otti, and the Labour Party platform,” he stated. We are now a forum for politics.
“We are interested in taking over from the APC in order to give the Nigerian people hope again, to guarantee sufficient security, and to make sure that people can wake up in
“The Labour Party’s status as Nigerians’ ray of hope is no longer diminished or elevated to the point where the defection of five members is sufficient.
“No one is content. Even members of the APC are dissatisfied with Nigeria’s current state.
After all, the APC was a coalition that adhered to an ideology that wrested power from the PDP, so why not establish one if we must in order to guarantee that we have sufficient measures in place?
Thus, I don’t think it’s unusual if the Labour Party joins forces with other like-minded Nigerians who are dedicated and motivated to act morally for once in Nigeria.
