In order to bridge the gap between suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, opposition legislators in the Nigerian Senate have established a committee.
Senator Abba Moro, the Senate Minority Leader, reportedly revealed this in an interview.
“The sexual harassment scandal that is roiling the red chamber is regrettable and preventable,” the Benue senator said.

But he said he is actively trying to restore harmony and understanding to the upper house of parliament.

The Senate House of Commotion is the name you have given us, Abba Moro told Vanguard. I would like to convey that the current situation in the Senate is regrettable and preventable, but it has occurred, and we are all currently working to lessen its effects. I promise that I am leading the charge to bring about peace, quiet, and a modicum of understanding in the Senate in the long run.

In a recent meeting, opposition MPs established a committee to communicate with Akpabio and Natasha, according to Senator Moro.

“Well,” he responded, “you wouldn’t take it if you were her. But as I mentioned, the opposition is acting to guarantee that eventually some degree of understanding wins out. We established a committee at our most recent meeting to facilitate communication between opposition members and Senator Natasha, as well as the Senate President. She was suspended during the plenary, but we had decided that we should not give up and that we should keep trying to bring about peace in the Senate.

“I do not intend to dabble into allegations that some people tell me are founded or not founded,” Moro continued. The key here is that, as I mentioned, the accusations had already occurred, and she had also submitted a petition to the Senate, which the Senate claims violates certain Senate regulations.

“Although I am unsure of her future course of action, I am confident that we will finally find a solution to these issues. I could have expressed my personal views here, but as the arbiter and mediator I aspire to be, I believe it would be premature to start taking sides on this issue. Therefore, until all of our efforts to settle the disputes have ended, I will hold off on sharing my own thoughts.
