Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, is a Nigerian Afrobeat artist. His family has begged him to accept responsibility for his ailing father, Fatai Odunsi, and his supposed daughter, Zeenat.
Odunsi claimed to be having a stroke in a widely shared video and pleaded with Nigerians for financial support.
Odunsi asserted that Asake had deserted him, claiming that their last encounter was in March 2022, when his disease first manifested.
Using a Yoruba song to address the matter, Asake stated in a video posted on his social media profile on Friday that it is impossible to please everyone.
The musician asserted that despite his previous generosity, his father was trying to control him.
On Saturday, March 15, 2025, a video went viral on the internet in which the family, through a female representative, requested Asake to purchase a home for his sick father for ₦40 or ₦50 million.
The family also stated that Zeenat, Asake’s putative 11-year-old daughter, was abandoned by him, and that her mother consented to a DNA test.
“Please take care of your father, Asake; I’m pleading with you because you’ll grow old one day,” the family begged. Asake must arrive and fulfill his obligations. Mr. Odunsi would be happier with Asake’s N1 million than he is now, even if Nigerians gave him N10 billion. According to the Quran, we will reap what we sow in this world. God will continue to bless you, Ololade, Mr. Money. We want you to keep developing. I pray that God would enable you to help your father as well.

“You must act morally and take care of your father; I won’t get into your mother’s problems. You can purchase a home in Isale Eko for N40 million or N50 million. If you don’t want to do it yourself, you may get your father one so he can live off the rent.
At the very least, purchase a N50 million home in his name if you don’t want to care for him; he’ll be able to live off the rent. He isn’t making many demands.
