Ijoba Lande, a Nigerian comedian and actor, has criticized his older colleague Funke Akindele for his ₦90,000 payout after working on the latter’s film set for a month.
According to reports, Lande described his encounter with Funke in a video that has gone viral online, claiming that the actress was never approachable and that he was unable to get a photo with her when they were filming the movie.
After liking one of his videos on social media, Funke Akindele DM’d him, Lande explained.
Because he thought it would be the huge break his career needed, the skitmaker said he was thrilled to get Funke’s message and didn’t bother to charge her.
Lande claimed to have learnt his lesson from the incident and would charge anyone, including Michael Jackson, for work.
In the entertainment world, he also counseled up-and-coming artists to collect their fees without embarrassment or regard for others as gods.
“I lived in Ayobo and was married when I went to work for Funke Akindele, and I worked for her at Amen Estate for a whole month,” he claimed. Every time I noticed that we had little work left, I would hasten to return home. I swear to God that after working with Funke Akindele for a whole month, she did not even offer me N150,000. Is that business? This is for all of you aspiring people who wish to take advantage of you; if deity has already helped you achieve some level of renown, don’t consider anyone to be a deity.

What did they do to me back then, do you know? She liked a video I did at the time, so she messaged me. I don’t message people because I like this. Additionally, Funke Akindele would speak to you politely and in a soft voice. We never took a single photo together during my entire employment with her, and she was never friendly. I swear to God that in order to prevent being insulted, I detest pleading with people to let me take their picture. I am not photogenic, therefore I will only welcome Wizkid or Davido if they come here. I was thrilled at the time to learn that I would be working for Funke Akindele since it would provide me a large platform.
You won’t believe how that work turned out for me, I promise. When Wendy came to meet me after they presented the paperwork, I felt that I couldn’t bill someone like Funke Akindele because she seemed interested in working with me. I’ll let Michael Jackson know how much I want to get if it’s now, even if he wants to utilize me. He will cover the cost if he truly needs me. When I was already there, they informed me that I would be receiving $90,000 each month. I am not illiterate, so I read the form carefully when they brought it to me, but I assumed it was all a joke, and after a month, I had 90,000.
