As the Nigerian Flying Eagles prepare for the eagerly awaited 2025 Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations, they have formally arrived in Cairo, Egypt.
Head coach Aliyu Zubairu is in charge of the Flying Eagles, which include 24 players and 9 officials. The team will be guided by Zubairu as they attempt to win a record-breaking eighth tournament championship.
The Flying Eagles made themselves at home at the Jewel Sports City and Aqua Resort upon their arrival, a facility that should offer them the comfort and conveniences they need to meet the difficulties that lie ahead.

Later tonight, Zubairu will evaluate the players’ preparedness and adjust their tactics for the match during the team’s first official training session.
Nigeria’s first game against Tunisia is set for Thursday, May 1, at Cairo’s Military Stadium. The event is scheduled to take place in Egypt from April 27 to May 18, 2025, at a number of locations.
The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will also play fierce opponents in Kenya and Morocco in Group B of the Under-20 AFCON.
On Tuesday, April 22, at the Cairo International Stadium, the Flying Eagles will play a friendly encounter against the hosts, Egypt, as part of their preparations. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 PM local time (4 PM Nigerian time).
