Ayinla Kollington, his mentor and senior colleague, has come under fire from renowned Nigerian Fuji singer Kwam1 for failing to return the favor.
Kwam1’s mother passed away on January 18, 2025, and was buried that same day in accordance with Islamic customs, it was recounted.
However, Kwam1 vented his rage in an interview with Agbaletu Radio’s On Air Personality, OAP Bamidele Adeyanju, by recounting how he supported Kollington and managed all the money after his mother passed away.
He expressed his dissatisfaction and charged Kollington of giving him a poor return.

I’m furious with Alhaji Kollington for not contacting me or sending me condolences after my mother passed away,” Kwam1 stated. He buried his own mother with my help. I encouraged him to bury his mother in a respectable manner. I brought governors and other officials to the funeral, and I was in complete control of the finances.
“Look how he reimbursed me.” What might have happened after everything that I had done for him? When my mother died, he was in Nigeria, well and happy, and the only reason he could give was because I didn’t answer his call. Am I not allowed to feel anger?
