Romeo Lavia is the player who improves the Blues, according to Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca and Manchester United icon Gary Neville.
At Stamford Bridge on Sunday, Lavia assisted Chelsea in defeating Liverpool, the recent Premier League winners, 3-1.
After Chelsea defeated the Reds, Maresca and Neville lauded the Belgian midfielder.
For the majority of the season, Lavia has been sidelined by injuries.
A few weeks prior to Chelsea’s Premier League matchup with Tottenham Hotspur, he sustained a serious injury.
“Unfortunately, he [Lavia] has been injured for the majority of the season,” Maresca remarked in his post-match interview following Chelsea’s victory over Liverpool.
“The team that Romeo is on is clearly superior. With any luck, we can now maintain him healthy through the end of the season,” he stated.

On Sky Sports, Neville continued, “I really enjoy Romeo Lavia.”
“He must maintain his fitness. He can be Enzo Maresca’s best midfield player, in my opinion, if he can play for a season.
“They are a better team when he is on the field; he is a go-to player and makes a big difference.”
