Vinicius Junior, a winger for Real Madrid of Spain, is aggressively trying to improve the conditions of his contract extension.
As part of his plan, Vinicius is allegedly taking advantage of conversations about a possible Saudi Arabian bid. There isn’t a formal offer, according to sources.
Previously, the Brazilian attacker, who is regarded as one of Real Madrid’s most exceptional players, came close to signing a contract to prolong his stay at the Bernabeu.
Vinicius is one of the squad’s highest paid players and is currently contracted with the organization until 2027, but the terms of a new contract are still being worked out.
Real Madrid is having a difficult season and could end up without any hardware at the end of it after their recent El Clásico loss, with Barcelona most likely to win the championship. These talks take place in the current environment.
In addition to playing in Saudi Arabia, Vinicius reportedly accepted an alluring five-year contract worth £830 million, which included serving as an ambassador for the 2034 World Cup.
The player does not currently have a firm offer from Saudi Arabia to strengthen his bargaining position with Real Madrid, according to Marca, and the completion of his contract extension is still waiting.
There is a difference between what Real Madrid expects and the pay raise Vinicius is requesting, which would take his yearly income from less than €17 million to almost €30 million, according to the Spanish publication.
He is in line with other high-paid players like Kylian Mbappe, who joined the team last summer, thanks to his current contract, which was signed in 2022. In contrast, Jude Bellingham has been presented with more favorable terms following his stellar 2023–2024 season debut.
Vinicius’ agents at Roc Nation Brazil have reportedly placed a strong emphasis on their talks with Saudi Pro League clubs in an effort to move the negotiations along, which is viewed as aggressive. However, there isn’t a clear rival offer that is known to exist.
Even if he has had a temporary slump in form this season, Vinicius is still hopeful about staying at the Bernabeu. Nonetheless, the club’s administration has expressed some concern about his behavior.
Just one year after he came very close to winning the Ballon d’Or, there seem to be supporters within the club who might embrace his transfer to the Gulf state if a Saudi offer does materialize.

Vinicius has stated that he is confident an agreement will be reached before head coach Xabi Alonso is appointed.
“My contract is through 2027, but I have always said that I want to play here for a long time, to be able to make history and to receive the affection of the fans along with the president, all the players, and the coaching staff,” he said in February.
“I’m hoping that the negotiations can be concluded quickly so I can stay here for a lot longer, God willing.”
