In order to examine and reconcile the Tax Reform Bills, the National Assembly established a joint Conference Committee, which has effectively finished its job.
On Saturday, Hon. James Faleke, the chairman of the House Committee on Finance, made this announcement.
To finish the assignment, he revealed, the committee members worked from Thursday evening through Friday and into the early hours of Saturday.
According to Faleke, the Tax Reform Bills are now prepared for submission to the Senate and House for final passage.
“The House and Senate established a Conference Committee on the Tax Reform Bills, and it has successfully completed its work,” the statement said.
I’m happy to announce that the Bills are now prepared for presentation to the House and the Senate for final passage following a rigorous deliberation that lasted through Thursday night, Friday, and into the early hours of Saturday.
Distinguished Senator Sani Musa, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, and all of the Senate Conference Committee members deserve special recognition for their efforts. Furthermore, I would want to express my sincere appreciation to my colleagues on the House Conference Committee, which I had the privilege of chairing, for their steadfast dedication to the Nigerian people.
