The quarterfinal schedule for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup has been formally established, and the round of 16 stage is now over.
The last round of 16 matches in the Club World Cup were played across the United States on Saturday night and this morning.

Real Madrid defeated Juventus, another European football powerhouse, by a single goal in the match that was played on Saturday night.

In the 54th minute, Real Madrid’s new acquisition, Trent Alexander-Arnold, assisted Gonzalo García to seal the narrow 1-0 victory at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami in front of 62,149 spectators.

In the match earlier today, Borussia Dortmund of the German Bundesliga had a very strong first half against Monterrey of Mexico.

Dortmund won the first half thanks to goals from 29-year-old Guinea international Serhou Guirassay, who opened the scoring in the 14th minute and increased the lead in the 24th.

But in the second half, the Mexican team rallied and scored a goal through Germán Berterame’s boots in the 48th minute. The game concluded 2-1 in favor of the German team, but sadly, that could not stop Dortmund.

Real Madrid will play Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals on Saturday, July 5 at 9 p.m., after the aforementioned games.

After shocking Premier League powerhouse Manchester City 4-3 on Tuesday, Al-Hilal will take on Fluminense, a Brazilian powerhouse, in the quarterfinals on Friday, July 4 at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, Chelsea will play Palmeiras of Brazil at 2:00, while Paris Saint-Germain, the current UEFA Champions League champions, will play Bayern Munich at 5:00.

Take note that when Real Madrid plays Borussia Dortmund, Jude Bellingham will not get to play against his younger brother, Jobe Bellingham.

This can be attributed to the 19-year-old English player’s yellow card during Dortmund’s 2-1 victory over Monterrey. Since it was his second booking in the 2025 Club World Cup, he will not be playing in the upcoming match.
