The publication of official cut-off scores for admission to universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and monotechnics nationwide is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, 2025, by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The decision will be made at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, which is the venue for JAMB’s annual policy meeting.
According to reports, JAMB verified the date on Wednesday by posting on its official 𝕏 account.
The announcement states that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja would host the 2025 Policy Meeting on July 8, 2025.
Policy guidelines and other pertinent admissions laws are considered and approved for the upcoming academic year during the policy meeting, which brings stakeholders together, according to the statement.

Vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, and regulatory authorities are among the leading players in Nigeria’s education system who are anticipated to attend the policy meeting.
The meeting will establish the minimal scores needed to be admitted into various postsecondary institution categories on the Unified postsecondary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

“The forum will also give us a chance to finalize admission timelines, such as application, screening, and registration deadlines for the 2025/2026 academic year,” JAMB noted.
The occasion will also include an official announcement and celebration of the top-performing candidates in the 2025 UTME, according to JAMB.
Setting the tone for admissions procedures at all higher education institutions, the policy meeting is considered a crucial part of Nigeria’s admission cycle.
