Esther Okoronkwo, Michelle Alozie, Rasheedat Ajibade, and Chiamaka Nnadozie—four outstanding members of Nigeria’s Super Falcons—have been selected for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Best XI.
According to reports, the players mentioned above assisted the Super Falcons in winning their record-breaking 10th WAF.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Technical Study Group announced the 2024 WAFCON squad of the tournament, which honors the best players from each of the teams who competed in the just finished tournament.

Chiamaka Nnadozie was Nigeria’s anchor in goal, recording four clean sheets in six games and giving up just two goals from open play during the tense final matchup with hosts Morocco.

She won the title of Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament for her commanding presence and consistency.

The competition’s top right-back was Michelle Alozie, who played on the defensive end. The Houston Dash defender was crucial in five of Nigeria’s six games, holding opponents at bay with a combination of offensive thrust and defensive grit.

Four Super Falcons Players Are Listed in the Best XI for WAFCON 2024

The AFC Toronto winger, Esther Okoronkwo, enchanted the tournament with her spectacular performances. In addition to her two goals and six assists, she was twice voted Woman of the Match.

As the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade completed an incredible competition.

With one goal and two assists, the Atletico Madrid forward was the lifeblood of the Nigerian midfield and won three Woman of the Match honors. Nigeria’s run to the final was greatly aided by her leadership and unwavering enthusiasm.
