According to a bank statement, nine outstanding winners from Delta, Edo, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Owerri, and Abuja were recognized over the course of three age groups: 4โ6, 7โ9, and 10โ12 years. The program attracted an incredible number of children nationally.
There was a N300,000 cash prize for first place, N200,000 for second place, and N100,000 for third place in each age group. Their inventiveness, creativity, and powerful poetic visions of leadership were praised for the winners.
During her remarks at the prize presentation ceremony, Mrs. Nnenna Anyim-Okoro, Executive Director, South & Corporate Bank, Keystone Bank, emphasized the bank’s dedication to developing the next generation of Nigerian leaders and promoting national development through outreach.
She stated: “At Keystone Bank, we think that investing in our children’s minds is the most effective thing we can do.
The bravery, lucidity, and genius exhibited by these young poets is evidence of Nigeria’s limitless possibilities. They didn’t just rhyme with each other. They envisioned, they challenged, and they inspired.
“The goal of this competition is to inspire a generational mindset based on creativity, leadership, and responsibility; it extends beyond poetry. Keystone Bank will remain a cornerstone for enabling the next generation in every part of this nation.
“The poems that were submitted were of the most remarkable caliber and depth. These youthful voices carried the conviction of leaders, the passion of idealists, and the foresight of reformers. We take great pride in supporting their adventures,” she continued.
