A 24-hour suspension of the result checker portal has been declared by the West African Examination Council’s (WAEC) Nigerian office.
Moyosola Adesina, Head of Public Affairs, said in a statement that a technical fault had caused the result checker portal to be momentarily suspended.
WAEC hereby notifies the public that the result checker site @waecdirect.org is currently unavailable owing to technical difficulties, according to the notice.
To guarantee that candidates can view their results within the next day, the Council is diligently working.
We sincerely regret any trouble that this may have brought about for you. I’m grateful,” the notice continued.

You may remember that the Council announced the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) on Monday.
From 23,554 accredited secondary schools in Nigeria, 1,973,365 candidates registered for the main exam.
1,969,313 candidates actually took the test out of this total.
It is noteworthy that the exam was not exclusive to Nigeria; candidates also took part from schools that employ the Nigerian curriculum, such as Equatorial Guinea, CĂ´te d’Ivoire, and the Benin Republic.
