Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has confirmed that Kai Havertz has suffered an injury setback.
Havertz will not be available when the Gunners host Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday night.
The German picked up the injury during the 1-0 win at Manchester United last weekend and the club is still assessing the situation.
Arteta told reporters on Friday: “He is certainly not fit for this match. Unfortunately he picked up an injury.
“We don’t really know yet the extent of it. I think we need a bit more time and more tests. After that we will have more clarity about the next steps.”
Arteta also confirmed new signing, Christian Norgaard will not be in the squad, while Ben White faces a late fitness test.
“Christian won’t be in the squad,” he said.
“With Ben, let’s see how he reacts and what we decide.
“But Christian will be out for another week or so.”
