A clash between armed bandits and security operatives in Niger State has left a vigilante member and two residents injured.

The incident happened on Thursday evening, August 28, at Agwa village in Rafi Local Government Area.

Security forces were said to have engaged the bandits who had been operating in the area.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, who shared details of the incident in a post on Saturday, a vigilante member identified as Tanko Dudu from Agwa sustained gunshot injuries during the shootout.

“Two residents, Sunusi Rabi’u and Sa’adiya Rabi’u, were also hit by stray bullets.

“All three victims were taken to the General Hospital in Kagara for treatment and are said to be responding well,” Makama wrote.
