The Benue State House of Assembly has granted Governor Hyacinth Alia’s request to fill his administration with ten more Special Advisers.
After the governor wrote to the lawmakers to request their approval, the approval was given on Thursday during plenary.
The government will be able to better deliver services throughout the state and consolidate its development strategy thanks to the decision, lawmakers added.
They stated that in order to give the governor professional advice on urgent matters pertaining to governance, the advisory team has to be expanded.
Governor Alia got the go-ahead to expand his team just a few days after announcing a new batch of important appointments to statutory boards and crucial agencies.
The governor is anticipated to reveal the names of the new Special Advisers in the next few days, according to reports.
Details will be revealed soon.
