Soul Sisters Tribe Foundation, a non-governmental organization, recently embarked on a social outing aimed at projecting the image of the club and showcasing love among women.

The event, which took place at Jakande Gardens, Alausa Lagos was filled with excitement, inspiration and enthusiasm. Indeed, it was a thrilling atmosphere.
It was a beautiful scenario as all participants sat on mats with baskets of foods, drinks, fruits, etc, brought by members to celebrate at the event. All women were beautifully dressed with adoring hats and fashioned outfits for the social gathering.
In an interview with the President and one of the Founding members of the club, Elder (Mrs) Itohan W. Chekwas- Anaga, emphasized on the benefits of women coming together to include aiming at advancing the social, economic, political, and educational standing of women by building confidence, providing opportunities, and fostering self-worth. “We are stonger together”, she added.
Going down memory lane, Mrs. Chekwas-Anaga said Soul Sisters Tribe Foundation started in year 2023. She narrated that one of the founding members, Mrs. Becky Kalu Ebueme wanted friends to come together for a milestone celebration of her birthday. Mrs. Ebueme suggested a charity reach out together with friends to mark her special day. Friends came together and thereafter, the idea of having a classical Foundation started.
Speaking further, the President enumerated the benefits of the Foundation since inception to include inculcating the virtue of marriage to the girls in our society by emphasizing that marriage is not just for bearing children only but for selfless contribution, physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially balanced as women.
In addition, the Vice President of the Foundation, Mrs Chinyere Akabiogu said the beauty of the women in the Club enticed her becoming a member. She analysed some of the achievements of the club to include empowerment of widows with financial and emotional supports and visits to Children Homes to give back to the society.
In a nostalgic feeling, the Secretary , Barrister Felicia Nosike appreciated Soul Sisters Tribe Foundation for standing by her members in any situation. She cited when she had emotional issues years back and this Foundation stood by her. She also attributed her membership of the club to socializing. In the same vein, Mrs. Victoria Agwu, a member of the club said she joined the club because of socializing with friends and she is achieving her aim fully since she doesn’t have time after work.
The highpoint of the event was sharing of gifts items to members, eating, wining and associating with friends.
Soul Sisters Tribe Foundation was founded in year 2023 by a group of very close friends during a birthday charity outreach of Lolo Becky Kalu Ebueme. The founding members are:Becky Kalu-Ebueme, Itohan Chekwas-Anaga, Clara Nwosah, Obi Loveline Anoruo, Kelechi and Rose Ndukwo
There are 24 members and members are in Nigeria and in the diaspora.
