Those who benefited from the week-long charity initiative that Opeyemi David Falegan started have thanked Hon. Opeyemi Falegan, the program’s founder.
Free cooking gas, cash presents, and food supplies were distributed to dozens of market women, artists, and civil personnel in the state’s 16 local government districts.
They made the remarks during the program’s 2025 grand finale, which was held at six different venues in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
He was also praised for improving the lives of Ekiti people and having a great influence on others, particularly during this difficult economic time.
Several recipients, including Oni Olanipekun, Ms. Oladele Jumoke, Chief Ajayi Adedayo, and Dapo Kolawole, expressed gratitude to Falegan for his numerous initiatives that attempted to lessen societal suffering.
David Thomas, Abiodun Ayokunle, and Fakunle Lekan also urged Falegan to persuade the donor to enter politics in order to increase his influence.
They claimed that Falegan’s kindness would be better appreciated if he had a position of authority.
They said Falegan’s humanitarian effort demonstrated his capacity to improve the lives of the Ekiti people.
During his speech, Falegan thanked God Almighty for ensuring that the week’s events went smoothly. He remarked, “The enormous turnout and the support I received from the Ekiti civil servants have greatly overwhelmed me.” He pledged to continue the sporadic intervention as well.
Using the opportunity, Falegan urged the administration to recognize its obligations. He criticized the terrible condition of Ekiti’s roadways and asked the state’s government to repair a few of the main thoroughfares.
In the past ten years, ODF has been giving away free fuel to thousands of Okada riders (commercial motorcycle riders), drivers of minibuses (Alakoto), tricycle riders, private vehicle owners, and drivers in Ado Ekiti and the surrounding metropolitan regions.
Economic hardship and the elimination of gasoline subsidies are intended to be mitigated by this program.
