Phyna Slams Dangote Group Over Alleged Negligence Leading to Sister’s Death

Dangote Group has been accused by Big Brother Naija reality star Phyna of being careless and insensitive in relation to her sister Ruth Otabor’s passing and funeral.

Phyna asserted that her sister’s murder was not only unfortunate but also premeditated and planned in a string of Instagram posts.

She charged Dangote Group with not paying for all of the funeral and hospital costs as previously declared in public.

Phyna claims that the company only paid for expenditures at Lagos’ Lagoon Hospital, leaving the family to pay for any further costs incurred from Auchi to Irrua.

She bemoaned, “The family paid the bills from Auchi down to Irrua; no reimbursement has been given.”

On the day of Ruth’s funeral, Phyna further claimed that efforts to contact Dangote Group were unsuccessful.

“We were informed that the bills were not paid, but they maintain that they were,” she wrote. “Dangote groups did not answer all of our calls on September 13th, the day of the burial.”

A letter that was written by Dangote Group and mailed to her father was also revealed by the reality star. It asked him to sign an acknowledgment of receipt for the burial costs.

She said that the corporation was impersonating the family and that they ought to have been contacted directly for such a letter.

“My dad received this letter this evening, and it is truly hurting me. @dangotegroup, you killed my sister, conducted a ton of public relations, and then, all by yourself, prepared an acknowledgement letter pretending to be my father and submitted it to him for his signature,” she stated.

“The act implied a conscious attempt to control the narrative after the burial,” Phyna said, asking why a firm of that size would use such tactics rather than treating her family with integrity and dignity.
