The actress from Nollywood, Adunni Ade, has celebrated winning a lawsuit against a Nigerian news outlet for defamation.
The court triumph was over two years after Adunni Ade was accused of dating Senator Dino Melaye and listed as one of “six popular Nigerian celebrities.”
In response to the story, Adunni Ade called it fake and sued the news outlet for N100 million for defamation and invasion of privacy.
On Tuesday night, the actress praised the “Nigerian Court of law” for obtaining justice for her in an Instagram post.
“Won my case Adunni Ade vs. Polace Media Limited (www.naijanews.com),” she declared as she celebrated her victory. Although a fabricated article about me was published, the truth stayed firm. Integrity and privacy are important, as this ruling confirms. Delays in justice do not equate to denials.
Two cases have been won, and there are still a few left. In order for you to be served, please stop pacing around evading court documents.
“The judge awarded N20 million in damages, but blogger don japa,” Adunni responded to inquiries in her comment area. There is still a need to garnish the account.
