According to reports, renowned Nigerian preacher Rev. Uma Ukpai has passed away.
The death was reportedly confirmed in a post on Monday via 𝕏 by Prophet Joel Ogebe, the lead prophet of the House of Salem Global in Abuja.
Ogebe did not name anyone, but many online users responded to the message by associating it with Rev. Ukpai, the president and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, a well-known non-denominational organization with its headquarters in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
A giant has departed to live with the Lord, he wrote. My father, my father, Israel’s chariot. Heaven celebrates. “Uyo.”
Not long after, Church Gist, a Christian website, also posted a message on Facebook announcing the death of the famous cleric.
As stated in the post: “A GENERAL TAKES A BOW! Uma Ukpai, an evangelical, has departed to be with the Lord. God bless you, sir.
As of the time this report was filed, his family had not released a formal statement or provided any confirmation.
