Nigerian musician Seyi Shay has talked candidly about why she was unable to wed her daughter’s father.
Recall that just a year after declaring she was engaged, Seyi Shay gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, in 2022, but she decided not to divulge who her partner was.
During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwu on the WithChude podcast, the 39-year-old singer stated that she holds a particular place in her heart for her daughter’s father.
According to Seyi, her baby daddy works in the entertainment sector in Nigeria. They are not married because of a technicality, but they have a good co-parenting relationship.
According to her, her father is from Nigeria. And now we coparent incredibly well and are pretty good friends.
“We are not wed. It’s a technical problem, but since he’s not present, I don’t want to talk too much because I haven’t talked to him about how he could be feeling.
He is a very special person to me, and he is the father of my daughter. But he’s cool, he’s terrific, and he’s currently in the UK.
Additionally, he works in the corporate side of the music industry. And while parenting our child, we simply get along nicely. We are very close pals.
