In preparation for Nigeria’s final qualifying match against the Benin Republic in the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has announced a roster of 21 players.
In addition to being Africa’s path to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, the two-leg match will decide who will compete against the best in the continent at the tournament in Morocco the following year.
Because they lack a facility certified by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Benin will host the opening leg at Stade Kegue in Lomé, Togo. On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the second leg will take place at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta.

In addition to up-and-coming artists Folashade Ijamilusi and Kafayat Mafisere, Madugu has leaned on the experience of Asisat Oshoala, Chinwendu Ihezuo, and Esther Okoronkwo.
