A one-story chapel constructed by the MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministry Lagos Region 15, Victoria Island, has been dedicated for use by King’s College, Lagos students by Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Worldwide.

Olukoya emphasized throughout the packed ceremony that God can assist or uplift people without the need for links to powerful people. He said, “He helps whomever He wants to help by using the unexpected things of this world.”

“God doesn’t need to focus on something significant to advance you, nor does He need VIPs (Very Important Persons) to do so. He emphasized that God can elevate you to a higher level by using someone you don’t even know, even if they are insignificant.

Declaring that God can use servants to further one’s cause, he urged the school’s employees and pupils, who crowded the hall, to pray, “O God, raise a voice for me where I have no voice.”

Two months after the official closing date, the general overseer then related his own experience of submitting his application for a Commonwealth scholarship to study overseas.

He claims that the official he met when he showed up at the office to turn in his application made fun of him for doing it so late and pushed him away.

The youthful Olukoya stood at the doorway, dejectedly, and bemoaned his lot. He was asked what he was doing by a young man who came out bringing lunch dishes.

Olukoya gave an explanation of his goal. When the man asked if he had a first-class degree, Olukoya said that he had. After telling him to wait, the man promised to assist him in submitting the paperwork when he got back.

By escorting Olukoya to his supervisor, who is responsible for choosing beneficiaries of Commonwealth scholarships, the messenger kept his word.

In this way, Olukoya was awarded a scholarship to study for his PhD in the UK. God fulfilled his goal with the aid of a messenger.

As he urged the audience to pray, the man of God emphasized, “God, raise a voice for me where I have no voice.” Olukoya urged the kids to do well in their pursuits so that, even if they were not present, someone would suggest them.

“There are three pillars of success,” he said. You must first grasp any subject if you want to succeed in it. You will excel in that subject after you have mastered it.

Second, people will seek you out if you are good at anything you know how to do. People will travel across boundaries in search of you. Third, wherever you are, people will seek you out because everyone that God has made is a solution to an issue.

The principal, vice-principal, and senior teachers from King’s College, along with senior pastors from the MFM Tent Makers Pastoral Ministries, led by Pastor Clement Imoru, attended the occasion and conveyed their gratitude and delight for the MFM Ministries’ gift.

According to the MFM News Digest magazine, the Ministry has made similar gestures to Queen’s College, the Methodist Boys High School, and the University of Lagos Staff School, and more are planned as part of MFM’s corporate social responsibility.
