In order to attend the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2025), President Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Presidential spokeswoman Bayo Onanuga said in a statement on Friday that President Tinubu is going to the summit.
which, at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, his counterpart from the United Arab Emirates, will be held in the emirate from January 12 to 18.
Global leaders will convene at the conference to promote socioeconomic advancement and expedite sustainable development.
At the event, “The Nexus of Next; Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” leaders from industry, civil society, and politicians will be able to discuss how to accelerate the shift to a sustainable economy and usher in a new era of prosperity for everybody.
An annual event for more than 15 years, ADSW is a monument to the strength of teamwork and offers a global forum for promoting multi-stakeholder cooperation in tackling global issues and boosting development.

It has sparked lucrative contracts and strategic alliances between governments, business titans, and renewable energy trailblazers globally, fostering significant partnerships and furthering the sustainability agenda.
During the ceremony, President Tinubu will highlight the reforms his administration has implemented in the areas of public health, transportation, energy sufficiency, and economic development.
In addition, the Nigerian leader and his delegation will meet with the leadership of the emirate to talk about matters of mutual concern.
Expected to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16, 2025, the president will be accompanied by Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other high-ranking government officials.
