Mahmud Jega, a public affairs analyst, has cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) about the impending crisis in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
According to reports, the ADC is experiencing an internal crisis that has resulted in the denial of recognition to former Senate President David Mark as the party’s national chairman and national secretary Rauf Aregbesola.
Jega claimed that the issue is being orchestrated during an interview on Friday on Arise Television’s “Prime Time.”
He claims that INEC appears to be involved in a plot to dismantle all opposition parties.
“The crisis in the ADC is being engineered,” he declared. INEC also needs to use extreme caution.
INEC is creating the idea that it is a component of the plan to dismantle all opposition parties.
“INEC sat on the ADA for two years because the opposition wanted it.” They have now relocated to ADC and are developing a new idea.
Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has charged that instead of addressing the legal concerns in their internal dispute, the David Mark faction of the ADC is using emotional blackmail.
In a post on his 𝕏 account, he said that the faction was to blame for the current state of affairs.
In order to prevent future issues, the minister suggested that the ADC seek a more secure political option, a quicker court procedure, or a political accord.
