According to Arise Television’s Director of News and Politics Editor Sumner Sambo, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ought to be wary of the opposition alliance led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In advance of the national elections in 2027, the ADC was renamed the political party of the opposition coalition on July 2.
It designated former Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola as the national secretary and former Senate President David Mark as the national chairman.
In an appearance on Monday’s “The Morning Show” on Arise Television, Sambo claimed that the ruling APC would be laughing if it ignored the opposition alliance.
He asserts that there is a great deal of discontent within the APC.
“Many Nigerians did not give them opportunities when the APC was in its early stages,” he remarked. Within the APC, there is a great deal of disenchantment. The governing party should use extreme caution because the ADC has its own problems.

The ADC, meanwhile, has declared that it will not only participate in the general election of 2027 but also be a serious contender.
Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC National Publicity Secretary, told Vanguard on Sunday that the party was not obsessed with the divisive topic of zoning.
Abdullahi claims that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has had difficulty providing the All Progressives Congress (APC) with viable alternatives.
Instead of depending on regional power-sharing arrangements, he stated that the ADC is committed to creating a robust, grassroots-based political structure throughout Nigeria and plans to transform the nation’s political system by advancing values, workable solutions, and people-centered governance.
He said that the ADC’s strategy for the 2027 election would put merit and the good of the country ahead of conventional zoning.
