Yesterday, the ADC announced that it would no longer be used as a special purpose vehicle for politicians.

Dr. Ralphs Okey Nwosu, national chairman of the ADC, told the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) that politicians will no longer exploit it and abandon it.

Special purpose vehicles are alternative political parties that politicians use to run for office after losing or leaving their original party, according to Nigerian political jargon.

Nwosu, who criticized Nigerian politicians for lacking a political ideology, revealed that the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) has helped to settle disagreements and bring members together behind a single political platform.

According to Nwosu, ADC will have been involved in Nigerian elections for 20 years by 2027.

Twenty years later, we have to get it right. Now is the moment to forgive me if I insulted you, and we need to go on.

“We need to establish significant partnerships, such as the one we are forming with PRP. I want us to arrive with love in our hearts. He bragged, “Our party will be the most popular party in Nigeria by 2025.”

Since 2007, ADC, which was established in 2006, has put up presidential candidates. After the elections, however, the candidates consistently leave the party.

The similar trend was seen in the most recent election in 2023, which resulted in a party that was divided.

Nwosu asserted, however, that the party has lifted the ban imposed on certain members and started the process of rebuilding.

He said that the NEC meeting marked a new beginning, particularly during the Christmas season, when people are supposed to offer one other love.

He said that, with INEC’s ADR, peace has returned to ADC and that Nigeria now begin developing institutions that will endure.

“Why are there so few members elected to electoral office? He questioned, “What prevents us from having the majority in the house?”

“Some of us will end up working in the villa; some of you will be elected into offices,” Nwosu predicted, predicting that ADC would become the nation’s most popular political party. The sky will be your limit if we accomplish this.

Additionally present at the meeting on the verification exercise were INEC officials.
