Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former governor of Borno State, has predicted that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will quickly become obsolete.
During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stated that the opposition party will be destroyed by the ADC chieftains’ aspirations for presidency.
He predicted that the ADC would “die down in three months,” calling it a flimsy political experiment fueled by conflicting presidential aspirations.

Sheriff responded to rumors that he was planning to join the ADC by saying: “You mentioned that people were bringing up my name, that I was attending the ADC. False. Which ADC? Are they members of any political parties?
Let them have three months. Since they are all “presidential materials,” the party will disband. Additionally, there is only one candidate among them who will run for president.
Sheriff contended that the ADC is unable to duplicate the APC’s achievements, emphasizing that the ADC lacks the foundation that the APC did, having formed through the union of parties with governors and national institutions.
Nearly 15 state governments were participating when we were forming the APC. Four states were brought by President Bola Tinubu. There were perhaps five or six members of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP). The Breakaway PDP had four. We have more than 20 states, 73 senators, and a resounding majority in the House of Representatives today,” he stated.
“They all want to be president at all costs,” the former senator continued. Although they have the right to hope, they are nonexistent in terms of current politics. There is no ADC.
